Be Kind to Your Mind

A Triptych Poster Campaign for Mental Health

Inspired by calming colors.

Project Overview:

This project was my senior thesis. We were tasked with creating a visual project that showcases our skills and our passions.

Mental health is such an important topic that needs to be talked about more so we can break the stigma of not being okay. Especially now in this crazy world, we need to show compassion and be there for one another. Be Kind to Your Mind is a mental health campaign meant to encourage people to take time for themselves and understand all feelings are valid.

With these posters, I wanted to illustrate hope through a fun and bright color scheme and typography while reminding people that change starts with yourself, but only if you’re ready to give more than you take.

Deliverables:

3 posters with a connected theme about something you care about.

Starting this project I felt like there was a million ways to go.

I wanted it to be fun while talking about a serious topic. I sketched out a ton of ideas to find the best one. I thought about it figuratively and literally and I went went with a little bit of both.

FOREVER USA Vector Stamp Collection

Project Overview:

A student project to create a collection of FOREVER USA stamps. We were tasked with choosing 4 iconic American actors or entertainers and creating an avatar of them or their most memorable character. A fun twist in the assignment was replacing one of the characters with yourself - and that’s what I did here!

I chose to create a series representing famous comedy characters from 1970 - 2020!

I sketched out each stamp with notes about typography, color palette, and other design choices.
